Meet Dr. Greg Nash

Dr. Greg Nash founded Competitive Edge Clinic in 2025 with a vision of combining healthcare with the principles of high-level athletic performance.

His background in competitive athletics and biomechanics allows him to approach patient care from a movement-based and performance-focused perspective.

Athletic Background

Dr. Nash grew up in middle Tennessee and was deeply involved in athletics from an early age. His primary sport was competitive gymnastics, where he competed as a Level 10 athlete in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program and participated at the USAG National level.

Education

Dr. Nash attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he studied Exercise Science and Kinesiology.

During this time he remained deeply involved in athletics by:

  • Coaching gymnastics

  • Judging gymnastics competitions

  • Competing with the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC)

 While in Knoxville he also began his martial arts journey, eventually earning a black belt in Shin-Gi-Tai Jiu-Jitsu.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Nash later moved to St. Louis, Missouri to attend Logan College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2013.

 While completing his studies he:

  • Continued coaching gymnastics

  • Pursued training in Judo

  • Tutored fellow students in anatomy, physiology, and neurology

Professional Experience

After graduation, Dr. Nash moved to Northern Virginia where he began practicing chiropractic care and continued competing in gymnastics as an NAIGC alumni competitor.

 In 2018, he relocated to Maryland and joined a sports medicine-focused practice in Glen Burnie. There he worked closely with collegiate and professional athletes, providing care both in training rooms and on the sidelines.

He continued his martial arts journey and earned his black belt in Judo.

Giving Back to the Athletic Community

Dr. Nash remains deeply involved with the NAIGC, serving as the organization’s Healthcare Coordinator.

In this role, he organizes teams of healthcare professionals to provide:

• Medical support
• First responders
• Injury care at national gymnastics events.

Life Outside the Clinic

Outside the office, Dr. Nash remains highly active.

 He continues to:

  • Train and compete in gymnastics with an adult community team through the NAIGC

  • Practice Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

  • Stay engaged with his local community

  • Travel and explore new places

 His passion for movement and performance continues to shape the way he approaches patient care.
